Printing ID Cards from Rock

Question

Does Rock have a method to print plastic ID cards? Hope City (Canada) has an IDenticard printer and wants to use these cards for volunteers, primarily to get a face printed on them that matches the image in Rock for security purposes.

I have looked on the community site and have not found anything that seems close to what they are asking for.

Here is some additional information from the client.

*No, it is not currently integrated into CCB. They are using Canva to design the card and then saving it as a pdf file. Then they print the file from within explorer with the built-in print option.

This is the way they found to make it work currently, but are inquiring if the print option could be built right into Rock, such as from the user profile and/or groups. I have made a Print ID Card action button in the profile already, but thought I would ask you guys if Rock has the ability to print already and I just can't find it? I see the action type to print with Zebra for name tags but I can't find the code for it to convert that task to a "print with Magicard". I should be able to pull template data from Rock and send it in a pdf format (or any format) to the print to mimic the process. The Magicard can accept other formats, such as jpeg.

Before I get too deep, I thought I would ask if there is already a way or if you guys had created an ID card printer plug-in before?*

I think if they wanted to make this happen, we would need to know more information. Likely we would need to generate some sort of import that could be used by whatever program they are using to print id cards. A brief look seems like there are a couple possibilities of what programs could be used. Pulling the data out of Rock will likely require some custom development.
