Address for kids

Question

For City Gate Church they have noticed that when running the attendance analytics there are some kids that do not have addresses even though the family has an address.

An attendance analytic report https://rock.citygate.tv/reporting/attendance-analytics such as a date range from 2/4/24 - 2/20/24, with all classrooms that are open, all campus options, and then selected the Lebanon 10:00 Service Time only under Schedule, pulls address for some kids and not others. Example at the moment:

Nathan Cook 4th Grade (Visitor) and Nicholas Cook Kindergarten (New checkin)

You are able to get the address to show up by clicking to edit family then clicking save and it populates an address as long as the family has an address on file.

Would this issue potentially be related? Any ideas on how to fix?

This was because the addresses did not have the "Is Mapped Location" flag enabled. The UI in rock will automatically select first address and set that flag when displaying a family who doesn't have any addresses with this flag which is why editing address and saving it fixed the issue. When adding a family through Rock's UI, it will also always set an address to be the mapped location, so these families are likely getting added to Rock either through previous data migration or a workflow process that is not saving addresses correctly.

I'm not sure why this happens but when I go to the affected family and edit and resave their address, it fixes it. We will likely need a developer to dig into it to find the cause.

I've seen this happen when addresses do not have the country field filled out. Might be as easy as updating all locations that have blank country to country of "US".
